The Latest Scott Samuel Crash and Burn story

On September 22, 2008, in Quarrels, by David

{mosimage}Seems like Scott Samuel (former CEO, Honesty.com and EthicalTools.com) is still trying to launch yet another “million dollar idea” with low or no paid workers, and bungling attempts to get financing for the endeavors.

In one instance, “USA Vote Today” was to be some kind of social networking site for 2008 election. Needless to say, work wasn’t getting done on the project, and money wasn’t coming in for it, so it died a slow death, with Scott throwing one of his many tantrums when he found out he was going to be left out of the development. Of course, the next thing that happened is a number of threats, and general Scott Freak Out behaviors.

With his latest failure, it seems Brian Deloria and “Mikey” weren’t involved with Scott in this plan. Did they get smart, get tired of Scott, or did Scott separate himself from them? Some of Scott’s familar traits were repeated often times in his latest endeavor… mention Honesty 1000 times, eat a bunch of fresh french fries from MickeyD’s, get gassed, make threats, bitch about his life, theaten to ruin somebody, rinse, and repeat.

Allegedly, he’s out of cash again, and having his dad pay his debts, and may be living with him or Scott’s mother.

Again, if you’re a mother with a young son thinking Scott’s the messiah, or an investor trying to determine if you should throw money Scott’s way, beware. This is the guy that talked about his morning erections on a Runscape message board (RuneHQ), and somehow seems to convince people to work for him for free under threats and intimidation.

Contact me, as Scott’s former partner, I think I’m ready to discuss the startup we had together.
