There was this guy, Neomax, about 15 years ago, promoting a really lame photography trick that allowed a person to view a 360 degree image of a room, or whatever. He thought it was going to be the next big thing for home realtors, insurance adjusters, and whatnot.
It didn't really take off like he thought it would, but this video technology is pretty cool.
Watch the video, and turn your head/camera around with the directional pad at the top left.
"If it were not for Nebraska and all the work people did, the pipeline would be built by now," said Nebraska State Senator Ken Haar.
“It was we the people who stopped this pipeline. It was the boots who beat the big oil suits.” —Jane Kleeb, Bold Nebraska

The hacking group Anonymous is starting to leak the names of and information about alleged Ku Klux Klan members.
The anarchist hacking collective warned last week that it was planning to eventually release personal details of 1,000 alleged Klan members as part of its cyber war against the white supremacist group.
Well this might be interesting.....
Bill Maher’s epic anti-PC Halloween rant: “I’m going to vote Republican, because I just can’t stand being on the same team as these humorless jackoffs”
The last living Plains Indian war chief!
Dr. Joe Medicine Crow, the last living Plains Indian war chief, turned 102 years old on Tuesday.
Medicine Crow was born on October 27, 1913, near Lodge Grass.
The decorated WWII veteran and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom attended the University of Southern California where he earned a degree in anthropology in 1939. He is the first member of the Crow tribe to obtain a master's degree.
Earlier this year, Billings school officials named the new middle school in the Heights "Medicine Crow Middle School," which is currently under construction on the corner of Bench Boulevard and Barret Road.
Crow is a frequent guest speaker at Little Big Horn College and Little Big Horn Battlefield Museum, and has appeared in several documentaries about the battle.
He is also a historian and author of several books, and is best known for his writings and lectures...
Nuclear reactor in Omaha VA Medical Center’s basement is dismantled as it existed — quietly
The Omaha VA Medical Center’s nuclear reactor is about to fade into history.
For nearly two months workers have been dismantling the remnants of the TRIGA research reactor that churned away in the hospital’s basement from 1959 until 2001 — when post-9/11 security fears forced its shutdown.
Last month they scraped up asbestos-laden tile, bagged it in heavy cloth sacks and hauled it away. Last week they stowed the “Lazy Susan” and the reflector from the cooling pool of the former reactor inside steel-lined containers for eventual shipment to a low-level nuclear storage facility in Utah.
What the VA has found very little of, though, is radiation.
“It’s not as hot as they thought,” said Dr. Fred Hamel, pharmacology and internal medicine professor at the Omaha VA.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
The reactor was part of President Dwight...

Mary Elizabeth Peterson
May 19, 1958 to August 31, 2012
Another year has passed since Mary crossed over to the spirit world... Never will we forget her kindness and love. You will be missed in the hearts of many.
We love you Mary and whenever we see a beautiful mountain, or a wild flower or an awesome sunset, we will think of you. Just remember to hug your family, the only thing that matters in the end is love. Love is the only thing that can replace a loss of the heart. Love is stronger than fear or even death. Grief is for those who stay behind. Rest assured The Soul that is freed of the body delights in the fullness of being....Soul, knowing of its divine nature sees beyond the ends of eternity and knows It can never be extinguished like a candles flame.
May your songs of the winds and clouds sweep the pain and sadness out of my friends' & family's hearts as they hear those songs,...

There was a story about a guy in Kentucky shooting a drone out of the sky because he says it was filming his daughters sunbathing on his property.
These drones are going to cause more headaches for city ordinances as to how much airpace is allowed as your "private property".
I'm waiting for the day I see one over my house, and I probably won't try to shoot it down, but try to knock it down for my own personal use, on the neighbors.
My favorite drone is the autonomous Lily drone, that follows you around and films you. I could probably do the same thing with my own camera while I'm napping on the couch all day.
“Look, I don’t know what his intent is, but he’s infuriating Hispanics, the very group of voters the GOP is looking to make gains with in 2016,” said one party official who asked not to be named. “You could just be an egomaniac running his mouth, but he’s starting to look like a guy hand-delivered by the Democrats.”

Remember the Balloon Boy fiasco a few years ago, the dad (Richard Heene) that claimed his boy was trapped in a weather balloon floating over their home town, and it turned out to be a hoax?
Well, the dad is still a nut. He had a few inventions a few years ago, doing his own infomercials. By the way, I couldn't find any patents pending on these devices.
The Bear Scratch post:
The HeeneDuty Truck Transformer, with ZOOMER technology. This is my favorite, especially the shot of him humping the device.
Now the guy has gone back to exploiting his kids, as a death metal(?) band called The Heene Boys
I say all of us European Americans start protesting C****er Barrel. It uses an offensive slur and it is deeply offensive and mocks our long and proud heritage.
The name is offensive, their logo stereotypes European Americans as people who sit on chairs and lean against what appears to be a bourbon barrel, claiming we are all a bunch of alcoholics. Sure, they'll SAY it's a "cracker" barrel but everyone knows crackers don't come in barrels, they come in bags and boxes!
Change the name C****er Barrel to Caucasian Barrel. After all, white people should have something to be offended by, too!

I've always been of the opinion that the gay marriage issue was best decided by the states, not the Supreme Court. I'm support gay marriage, I just think the Supreme Court has more important (imo) things to rule on.
So today, the Supreme Court decided 5-4 that gay marriage was a fundamental right to all couples. Hooray for that, but really, what does that really change for the states that don't already allow gay marriage?
John Roberts gave a "fully throated" (ahem) explanation of his dissent:
I'm not that up on Supreme Court decision making, but is he saying the same thing I'm thinking? That maybe he supports the right of gay marriage, but doesn't think it is a matter of the Constitution to decide?
And why is that TRAITOR John Roberts dissenting, shouldn't he be in the liberals back pocket?
A South Carolina state representative says he plans to sponsor legislation in the next session to take down the Confederate flag that flies in front of the state Capitol.
“I had a friend die Wednesday night for no reason other than he was a black man,” GOP State Rep. Norman “Doug” Brannon told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes on Friday.
Legislation? ...Just take the fucking thing down! it was used as battle flag for less than 2 years.... Since then it has been used as a symbol of racism. .How can it be part of a heritage
We have 3 birdhouses in our backyard, but every year, Robins decide to build a nest on top of my electric meter. Maybe because it's under an overhang, and maybe it's warm, they must think it's a primo real estate area for their families.
Anyway, usually, every year, a storm ends up blowing this nest off the meter, and we end up with 3 or 4 broken eggs or hatchlings(?) spread out around the deck, and then the dogs find them.
Anyway... This year, a smart Robin must have used some super glue to stick the nest to the box. We've had a lot of storms over the last month, but that thing hasn't budged.
A group of Robins hatched and flew their way to greener pastures lately, and a new Robin (or maybe the same one?) has taken over the nest, evening making some reinforcements.
Here are some pics.
